Main activities and roles in AlchemiSSts
The working group “Management of chemical processes and analytical chemistry” at the University of Wuppertal, headed by Prof. Dr. Hans-Willi Kling, has many years of experience in the development of novel surfactants (SFs) based on renewable raw materials.
Our role in this project focuses mainly on the second work package: “Alternative surfactants – value chain”.
In this we
develop the production of SFs from renewable raw materials
analyse the product properties in order to find optimal advantages as additives for metalworking fluids (MWFs), e.g. low foaming, corrosion protection, lubricants, ...
create samples for the cooperation partner(s)
optimize reaction conditions and production processes in order to enable economical and environmentally friendly process technologies
